Documentation before an adjuster visit

Your insurance company decides coverage, deadlines, and paperwork. This checklist helps you arrive organized; it is not legal advice and does not guarantee any outcome.

Home · Resources · Adjuster documentation

Storm facts

Save the approximate date and time window plus links to National Weather Service or reputable local reports for hail or wind. Adjusters compare stated dates with radar histories.

Exterior photo set

Capture each elevation, then zoom on lifted shingles, dented metal, cracked vents, and gutter damage. Follow the same sequence as our storm roof checklist.

Interior evidence

Photograph ceiling stains, bubbling paint, or attic stains with enough context to show location relative to chimneys or valleys.

Maintenance history

Gather prior inspection reports, invoices for repairs, and notes on roof age if you have them. Carriers sometimes ask how old the roof system is.

Questions list

Write down ambiguities about matching shingles, code upgrades, or timelines so you remember them during the visit.

Contractor coordination

If Sentrik Roofing or another contractor will meet the adjuster, confirm arrival windows and share contact numbers. Read timing basics so expectations stay realistic.
